Dare the Wind was just named an ALSC American Library Association 2015 Notable Children's Book. Woohoo!! I'm so appreciative of this honor. Dare the Wind holds a special place for me because it's a true story featuring a strong, smart, amazing woman who was truly ahead of her time: what an inspiration for my own two strong, smart, amazing girls!
